Being a college student (after years of hard labour i might add!) I dont have alot of disposable income kicking around, but i have the itch for an AR15.. Im getting some good advice from other brothers about what to build on etc etc, but i cant seem to find, even in the supporters of cgn at the top, a place that sells complete lowers, uppers minus barrels etc, does anyone have any websites for me? Thanks again

Tyler

Who told you that building an AR was easy? It takes time my friend check the EE everyday atleast three times a day... I started 6 months ago and it consumed my life, but now its almost done and it was well worth it, Like I said the EE is your only hope.... The EE is your friend, better then any combination of stores/dealers in this whole country....

AR's are not hard to build. Why did you make it hard? C++ programing is hard. Mechanical Animals are solely about adherence to process. Do the proper study, then go step 1, step 2, and so on. It's no mystery. It's a 50 year old weapon. All questions and process' are duly documented. It's paint by numbers.

i sure didn't.. and I've used the EE plenty bro thanks for the heads up

Oh I assumed you didn't cuz your trader rating was zero and there's a few complete lowers for sale there now, even a ATRS AT15 Lower :D PS Sorry if my post sounded a little #####y, i type too fast sometimes ;)

when I said building ARs is hard I didn't mean assembly, i meant finding parts... Especially if you have a solid blue print of exactly what you want, even then my plans changed about three times based on availability... its even getting hard to find LPK's for god sake.....

LPK means, lower parts kit, if you buy a bare lower this kit will come with everything needed to assemble a functioning lower.... Arms east has some for $118 (stag parts) best price ive found yet....

Google "Fab Sports" great guy, lots of cool #### instock, I got my troy rail there...

Its not Canada its the US state dept. For the most part our Canadian dealers do what they can to get stuff over the boarder. Quantity, however is the issue/Supply & demand... US state dept. tightened up so bad you need to have all kinds of paperwork to get even the smallest part...

You know i only ever checked Fabsports for M1a stuff it didnt even register he had decent AR things there, funny how that works... the Yankee Hill stuff looks great, i like what they show on their website alot.. Corpus or anyone else do you know where they rank compared to other manufacturers? i know everyone has their own opinion but are they around bushmaster quality? the uppers are about 100$ less for the YHM than the Bushmaster...

Survival you're a great kid. I can help you no more than to say that Yankee Hill is a fine company. From this point on, your AR will dictate your savvy and character. Good Luck.

c++ programing isnt hard at all I find it easy... building guns from parts easy if Ive taken 1 appart.. or have manual to do it...

I have a YHM upper and a Stag upper and I cannot tell the difference.

Project # 1 was a 11.5" from dlask built upon a stripped armalite lower from EE. LPK from TSE. It may cost more in the end but you get to see how it works in side the best when YOU put it together. Have a friend who swears he knows AR's inside and out, Tried the same project, still won't fire. Building it will make you appriciate the firearm more. Good luck and have fun.
