AR15 quad rail question

Hey guys,
Looking for some advice. Bought a UTG quad rail from Questar, and am having trouble with it. When it is mounted, it's top rail is 1/16" out of alignment with the other top rail. Tried to fiddle around with it, but no luck. Kinda wanted to move my Eotech a little farther forward...
Any advice form those who have had any experience would be greatly appreciated

edit: The top plate mounts into the grooved nut right where it should, is this groved ring somehow out of alignment???

Either the quad rail or your receiver is out of SPEC. My guess, its the quad rail. Solution, try another brand of rail, preferably a free float rail that clamps to your barrel nut. Down side, the cost.
