This is the original Pistol Recoil that we developed from the late 80s. The tube is 4 inches long and has the correct recoil spring specifically designed for this system alone.
KevinB said:The one Robert alludes to is off the pistol variant AR series -- theoretically banned by the OA-93 ban - but since CFC is of the opinion the receiver is the weapon you can mod a normal AR into that config...
The only other short buffer setup is off the Deimaco PDW series
it is simply a shortend carbine buffer setup. IIRC this was the "homejob" done by the LCMM to prove the concept.

There is a pic of the refined version in Black Rifle II.
Edit -- okay for some reason my pic wont show.

Deckard said:I am pretty sure that won't work. Because that small cylinder goes into the bolt carrier, and on every 9mm bolt I have seen, that area is taken up with a a weight.
Leg said:Hmm...! You know I always thought that the Diemaco PDW looked kind of cheesy, but now I'm thinking that a shortened collapsible butt would look good on my 9.25" 9mm. Is the buffer stock or did they have to shorten that as well? KevinB, who or what is LCMM? Perhaps they could give us more info on the conversion.
KevinB said:LCMM - Lifecycle Material Manager - Small Arms - CWO Garry Crocker (he is featured in Black Rifle II so I doubt there is a PERSEC issue).
The buffer is shortened as well for the buffer tube is 1" shorten and wont cycle with a stock buffer.
