and I don't what barrel to get i want the shortest length to keep it non-restricted

can someone please point me in the right direction?

i really appreciate any input :)

That pic of the rifle stock has a buffer tube inside it.

You could prob google an exploded parts diagram of a rifle length AR15 and see how the two pieces fit together. There will be a big screw at the back end of the stock that holds it in place on the buffer tube.

Basically you screw the buffer tube into place (not sure if it will need to be set a specific distance in to hold a retaining pin?). Then slide the stock on, carefully getting the push pin spring into place. Then inset the retaining screw at the back end and snug up. Its pretty straight forward.

If that's the actual butt you're using and not just a pic, you already have the buffer tube. The threaded portion shown is the tube, you just need to unscrew it using the top screw on the butt pad so that it can be screwed into the receiver. It's a rifle length buffer tube with a rifle length spring and buffer.

18.5" or over barrel to keep it non restricted.

thanks guys! i didn't know he was including the buffer tube at the time i posted this!

i'll look for exploded diagram! if anyone has a link to a parts list or something that would really help! :)
