good afternoon,

who sells ar15 upper recievers (c7 type prefered or a2)?
i'm pondering getting a norinco m4, but i would like to change it to a fixed handle. something like a older c8.
would the parts even exchange?
would there be a trade value say on the exchange forum? stripped flat and handle for a fixed?

any input or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
 
The EE is probably your best bet, not sure if anyone in Canada is selling new C7 style uppers these days, but I believe that DPMS and perhaps Bushmaster still make them.

You can swap out uppers no problem but to be honest it's probably not worth it. The flat tops are so much more versatile and you can always add a BUIS or detachable carry handle if you don't have any optics. Not trying to discourage you, I do like the old school look of A1 style uppers, currently have a C7 style upper that I'll be installing on my A2 11.5" Armalite.

i'm pretty old school. propably wouldn't put any tactical stuff on the m4 (if i get it).
if i change the receiver to fixed handle it will save me money in the long run. then i won't get the urge to get all the bell's & whistles :).
what i'm wondering would the parts from a norc reciever fit into a purchased fix handle?
