was out shooting the other day and after about 200 rounds the bolt started to catch on the mag and stopp 1/4 way closed took it home stripped it and cleaned completly and its still doing it any ideas?

What is the bolt actually catching on? I used ot have problems with the rounds hitting the area just under the feed ramps and not feeding, the bolt would then jam on the top of the round if not ramming the bullet down into the casing.

If this doesn't help, drop me a line.

(Good lord that site needs some proof reading. Must have one hell of a lazy webmaster)

I was out shooting mine today with some new mags, when I noticed
The bolt had Takin a chunk off of the mag fallower ( the same spot on every mag) Could the mag be up to high?

Just about every ar mag I've used with my 180b has had to have the lips filed down a smidge to ensure reliable function... All it takes is a few passes with a fine file to get the job done... Often what happens is the bolt carrier rubs against the mag lips slowing it down enough to prevent full lock-up....
Armalite advises that modifying mags is often necessary...
No big deal
