Ok I got a used ar180b with no manual how do I assemble the gas block I am not sure


I have a 5 pieces long rod, spring ,front sight, collar over front sight and a short piece


the short piece is where I am lost does it go on near the reciever or near the front sight..... it has a pin on the bottom and its cupped on the other side


please help me :(
 
It will only go together one way, take the two minutes to figure it out.

From muzzle: Gas block, handguard plate, gas piston, gas cylinder, Operating rod link (short piece), Operating rod. Spring over the back of the op rod. Simple really.

Be sure to put the bottom handguard on as you mount the gas block.

Holy, that's a lot to take it apart! or is it simple and seem overly complicated in the manaul. I don't want to do all that to clean it. but then the SKS has a few things to come off to clean it.
 
I remember when I got mine. I mauled it for almost an hour tring to figure out how to feild strip it. And then I was like: "Hey...what's this hole fer?" I'm so dence...:D
 
There is no reason to pull the gas block/sight off for cleaning. the piston and op rod come off without pulling the sight off. And saves sighting in again after reassembly.
