So, for those that have done it, what is the best way to remove the rear sight and radius the front gas block? Im going to be putting a rail the length of the reciever on the top, so I want it taken down flush with the reciever.

Thanks!

The best way I can think of to remove your irons is to send your AR180B to me. I will keep the rifle and you will be free of the iron sights forever, I will however charge you a small premiun of 2,000$ for my time to shoot, sight in and store it indefinately. You may subtrack shipping and handling from your emt, I will pay for that.

The rear sight is just spot welded on, so take a grinder and grind off the spot welds.

The front sight is integral with the gas block, so you could grind the front sight off as well.

Done.

Jesus #### man, you aren't really going to permanently butcher a $1500 rifle are you!?

I think I'm going to be sick :(

The front sight is attached to the sleeve and post that houses the gas piston. You would have to chop or grind the front sight off the top of the whole assembly.

Hey guys, I hacked the sights of more than one AR180B. The rear site is spot welded, just grin off the welds.

For the front sight, cut it of and using a grinder and sander to radius it all pretty like.

Finally, all you negative Nancy's can just STFU. It's his rifle and he can do as he pleases. He is improving it.

You're right.

Yes, it's a great idea, take a grinder to it and make it super more better

Thanks, Armedsask. I dont see what the big deal is, Im sure people modify thier weapons all the time, and there's no difference between me and a gunsmith doing it other than not having to pay an arm and a leg to get it done.....
