Last week I took my AR180B out for the first time and put around 60rnds. of Remington UMC through it and after I noticed some gold specks near just behind the ejection port, it looks like some of the laquer (sp?) seems to be coming off the hot cases during the ejection process, I also noticed it on the breech (on the bottom part that slides over cartridges in the magazine). Not really worried about it, just wondering if this is normal?
One other question, when I first shot it I didn't bother to break-in the barrel or clean it, will this greatly affect the accuracy?

Mine has the gold flecks in the same location, moreso near the front of the handle slide channel. For some reason the brass burns onto those locations, but it seems to do it less the more I shoot it. As for barrel breaking in, I didn't do mine properly, but still get a consistent 1.5 MOA.

you should always clean the bore of a new gun. It could have a wack of packing oil/grease in there.....not good to put a round down a blocked tube.

I had the same on mine , it stops after you punch through a couple of mags with it ..no biggie

strip your bolt, it will be full of copper. I know

the brass on the upper is normal mine does it aswell use high heat paint in a matt black to protect it or black tape

my PE90 does that a little too

This is normal for most semi-autos. They like to flip the brass around during ejection and this will strike the side of the upper. I cleans right off.
