Make sure the muzzle brake is permanently affixed to the barrel, or it won't count towards OAL I'm pretty sure.

If you can just screw it off, the OAL is the rifle without the brake.

You are correct the oal would be to short if the break came off. I have it permanatly mounted on the barrel and checked over by the local police to make sure it was above grade. While i do like the archangel stock. Due to the way it mounts and fits the top rail it is prone to movement due to the plastic expanding and contracting from heat cycles. It have verify my zero each time i head out to the range or after each detailed cleaning. I am moving to a tapco stock to try out and will put a stock action and barrel into the archangel stock. As its just a blast to shoot.

That's good to know... I'm leaning towards the AR-style chassis for my build, but if I can't find anything I like I may end up going with one of the polymer stocks and modifying it to suit me. The loss of zero sounds like a PITA though, so I'll stay away from that one. The Tapco Intrafuse might be a viable option though, and the ATI Strikeforce looks pretty good too. At least they both let you mount a rail directly to the top of the receiver, and you might be able to free-float the barrel and set up some sort of handguard/quad rail on it.
