This is great news. However, as the former owner of a Promag Nomad stock, I am cautiously excited. That stock was as well made as it could be considering the diversity of Ruger 10/22 models, but some folks (like myself) had issues. I expect the same for something as broadly manufactured as the SKS. Also, the Nomad had some exceptionally poor design choices that made it feel like a toy, specifically the faux fire selector switch, and more generally being 100% plastic. Lastly, the mags were not fabulous.
Note: this is strictly a commentary on Promag's products, not HiCal. Dave was always excellent to deal with. If this stock proves out, I will buy one from them without reservation. Just going to wait and see first.
