Well I wrote a post and it claims it was autosaving but I changed windows to clarify a detail and everything I wrote is gone so I'll keep it short and sweet.

I'm building a 10/22 from scratch, my parts knowledge is limited but I have enlisted the help of my local gun Smith he suggested Dlask for parts due to quality and availability. So my receiver with be a Dlask tuff-22 with rails and I might as well get a bunch of other parts from them like trigger, barrel etc.
Cost isn't a huge option it will just take me longer to build, I will be making a short stiff Barrel (12.5") tactical style plinker the girlfriend can enjoy but I want to also be able to push it as far as it will go. I do however love the look of the Archangel and it's 250$ because it's polymer.
Meanwhile the Dlask chassis is 375 and doesn't include stock or rails. My receiver comes with rails but I want a front grip.
Now looking at the Dlask I don't even know if I can get a front grip on it but again my knowledge of parts Is limited. I went to call them today but they are not open weekends.

The Dlask chassis is cadd designed and single piece killed aluminum which they claim has a host of features to ensure accuracy. So again with my limited knowledge does this mean it's more accurate? Is it worth the money?

I would share links and pictures but don't want to re write a 3rd time...

Thanks for your replies in advance.

Okay, lets start with a Tuff 22 with rail probably won't fit in the Archangel without modifying one or the other. The Tuff 22 has the rail machined into the action. Dlask build there action to house 10-22 parts, and fit stocks but that doesn't mean the outer dimensions are exactly the same. IIRC Dlask did actually offer, at one time, their actions modified to 10-22 dimensions, for this reason.

Second: The Promag Archangel is about looks. It's plastic craptastic. The Dlask chassis is aluminum, and rigid, which is what you need if you want accuracy. Made by Dlask it's also quality!

Thank you for your reply.
My apologies about the bad wording, I woildnt get the receiver with rails if I had the Archangel.

Dlask it is then.

My question about how to attach a front hand grip since I am going with the Dlask chasis is my next question then.

I now read that it uses an Mlok and that's how I can attach a foregrip. Ahh perfect, learning. Thought it had to have rails.

I was thinking of just putting a ruger BX trigger with an auto bolt release in first. Kidd triggers sure are alot more money (Dlask doesn't have any) but I don't know if they are worth it.... Maybe get a 2 stage later down the road.

Any input on this thought would be greatly appreciated.

That’s the nice part about the 10-22, you can always upgrade as you go. A good trigger can make a big difference, but there can be a huge difference in factory triggers - some are good, some are horrible. You pretty much have to shoot them to find out. I’ve always wanted a Kidd trigger, but they cost almost as much as a rifle. I’ve got a BX on one of mine, and one has a standard trigger with a Tandemkross Trigger kit. Both work for me. They’ll take gophers at 100, and I can’t ask for more than that.

Dlask makes great products. I love their barrels. Big one! If you are looking at putting a heavier barrel on - make sure you use an adjustable V-block (although, again not as important if you’re using the Tuff-22. Dlask beefs up the barrel tenon area). Even with a standard barrel, the adjustable V-block is a good idea. I’ve worked on a couple old 10-22’s that actually had “barrel droop” from years of the barrel hanging in the aluminum.

Thanks again for the reply, yes I had planned to order the vblock. Actually here is my current build that I'm thinking about.

12.5 barrel SS Dlask Bull Barrel 240$
Compensator Dlask 60$
Adjustable Vblock Dlaak 25$
Tuff-22 receiver with rails 220$
KIDD scalloped bolt 200$
Charger Handle Dlask 58$
Rugee BX trigger $130 (may upgrade later to a KIDD 2 stage)
Auto bolt release Dlask 18$
Bolt buffer Dlask 14$
Recoil buffer 5$
Recoil spring (less) 5$
Extended mag release short Dlask 60$

Dlask/MDT Precision Chassis 375$
UTG pro model 4 stock kit 110$
Holosun HS403A Red Dot (price check, 200$?)
Magpul MIAD pistol grip (price check)

Still searching for a foregrip that is a full size, or something I will find comfortable. My gunsmith should have a couple I can feel next weekend

Oh and a sling of some sort.

Looks like you've got it pretty much all covered. All quality parts. Should be a great build.

Foregrips: I've tried all kinds over the years, and I keep coming back to the MagPul ones - personal preference.
Mag Release: I think you'll really lie the Dlask one. They allow you to drop the mag with your trigger finger, instead of fumbling around with you support hand. (especially if you're wearing gloves) I've used the Tac-Sol for years, but it's to long to work with a pistol grip - my solution was to cut it back, rebend it to work, and refinish. This was in the days before Dlask offered this one. Pretty much the same thing I did, without all the extra work.
Slings: Everybody likes something different. I've tried cheap. I've tried expensive. My favorite all-around right now is the Limbsaver Tactical. It can be used as a single point or as a normal 2-point sling.

Unfortunately mag pul's foregrip is only 3" and I'm 6'6 so most normal sized men's hands don't fit on it let alone someone with big hands.
There are a couple options out there like one from BCM and Knight's Armaments. Just haven't decided yet... It's not something I need to install on day one either so not worried maybe I'll buy both and see which I like better.
