My friend and I head out tomorrow to hunt deer and bears tomorrow morning. I'm all packed ready to go.
We have been monitoring some nice size bucks and a great looking black bear. I suspect this is the same bear that was playing hide and seek with me last year. The weather called for 5-10cm of snow, and a windchill of -30c tomorrow through the day. Sat will be warmer with a high of -2c. I'm packing a Norc M305-S loaded with Hornady American Whitetail 150gn SP ammo. I hope we get some action on the bait this weekend.

Some pics from the past 24 hrs. The area to the south of us got snow. It's quite cold at the hunting ground. This morning was -15 and very windy. No deer or bears have gone near the bait. We have been out since 0530. Hopefully things will pick up this evening. At dawn several duck hunters replayed the Normandy invasion from the sound of gunfire. They must have gone through a flat of shells in a hour. I'm grateful for thermal underwear and 2 zippo handwarmers today. I'll post more tonight once we get in. I wish all the vets a good Remembrance Day.

We were out for 10 hours. Absolutely nothing hit the baits other then chipmunks and Bluejays. I think it was too cold for anything to move around. We refreshed the baits and packed it in at sundown. Tonight's forecast is a lot of -4 and tomorrow is going to get up to +4 with calm winds. It'll be a lot warmer. Hopefully we can get some action on the baits.
Temp deer blind.
