Are all Para Hicap 16-40's loose?

Over the past year and a half I have taken a close look at 4 hicap Para 16-40's, some Limited and some not.

All 4 were used and marked made in Canada with unknown round counts, and showed holster and magwell wear which I would be fine with as I am looking for another iPSC gun for standard.

Every one had a very loose fitting slide with both side to side and vertical play.

3 had very sloppy bushing to slide fit.

Is this normal for Para hicaps? Are they purposely built loose or are these just poor examples of this breed?

The Para I once had was too tight. It was ridiculous.
I like some play, especially for an IPSC gun.

Had a Para 16-40, and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Didn't work from the get go, I don't know how it left their factory like that. Once I got it working, see ya!

Stop looking at Canadian Para's, unless you're a firearms masochist. (they don't even make for a useful hammer, let alone a gun.)

My 2008 Limited is very tight and runs flawlessly. Has for many thousands of rounds.

I have 2 and I have no issues with mine. The trigger is a bit sloppy but that's about it.
