I've been looking for an "affordable" Mauser. A few years ago I was finding dealers advertising shipments of new or near new M48's. Can't seem to find them anymore. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Looks like the new ones are all gone.
Marstar still has some advertised as "good".
Your best bet is to check the EE, they show up all the time at reasonable prices.

Why not get a Swedish Mauser, they cost less, shoot accurately, in good + condition, available at Trade Ex or P & S Militaria. Both of these vendors also have VZ 24's good or better shape. Jean at P & S also had M48A's and 24/47 last time I looked.
