Are Eye Pieces for spotting scopes interchangable?

Between brands? I found a used eyepiece that I'd like to buy, but it's a Vortex. I also found a used spotting scope which isn't a Vortex, but has the ability to change out the eyepieces.

So are they like reloading dies in that one brand can interchange with another, or are they proprietary?

Not sure what brand of spotting scope you're looking to buy. If it's a Kowa I don't think it would work. They use proprietary eyepieces as far as I know.

Short answer is no, they won't interchange between brands.
