Are israeli .22LR Mauser 98 Rare ?

Just wondering how rare they are and what is the approximate price you think is fair for a good to very good condition example.

About $800, they are rarish. They pop up on the E&E every so often

It depends greatly if it's one made by FN as a .22 from the ground up or if it's a domestic Israeli conversion. The price quoted above corresponds more to an FN build, $400-$600 for a domestic.
