Are M44's, M38's, M91/59's, and M91/38's ever coming back?

Basically I'm looking for a short Mosin Nagant rifle. I have an M91/30 already, but would love a shorter, handy Nagant for my collection. I'm wondering is there's a chance we'll see any more from our suppliers in the future, or has that ship sailed?

Some dealers still have M44's kicking around.

We will probably see some more of these carbine variants in the future - but price will reflect rarity and demand.

Buy now if you have a chance.

Call Fishing World, Picked up a nice M44 two weeks ago there after looking @ 4 and they had more, plus call Al Simmons gun shop also in Hamilton, they also had some in the rack last Tuesday.
Mosins and SKS's are getting into Canada. Fishing World will have some reproduction snipers in Jan.

I was in my local Canadian Tire and they had a few M44 Mosin Nagants for 398$+GST. Down to one now.

This is a beaut from Corwins last batch. Hopefully they get more carbines one day.

I think the big boat sailed when it comes to the carbines, though there are a few sprinkles here and there and some private sales. Most of the M38s I've seen lately are shooters stuffed into 44 stocks, not much original or collector value. but then again its better than none.

I was lucky enough to get a 44 Tula from Frontier Firearms 2 months ago. Still in the grease. These beauties are getting harder to find. It's been 70 years plus.

They're fun rifles. They can be accurate, but they require more maintenance than a 91/30. I need to tighten the the screw behind the trigger group down every few range trips on my M38 because the recoil (which doesn't feel too bad, at least not to 6'3 me) is shocking enough to loosen it which turns it into 'minute of barn' at 100 yards pretty quickly. However, if you get one with a good barrel they can shoot quite nicely.

I got mine for $299 from Tradeex in Christmas of 2013. That was a price I was willing to pay for a unique and fun little blaster, but as someone who isn't the biggest Mosin Nagant enthusiast I can tell you that if there's a new importation, they'll be in the $400 range, and they're really not worth that unless you're a serious Mosin person. I prefer my 91/30 because it's a pre-war Hex and super smooth compared my '43 M38, which is clunky.

YMMV.
