Are Mauser M98 and M96 bottom metal interchangable?

Does anyone know if you can use bottom metal from a Mauser M98 on a M96? And vice versa?

Curious about getting an aftermarket hinged floorplate for my M96.

I know e-gunparts had them but is sold out...

No. The hole spacing on the M98 is longer than on the M96.

However, you can use 96 bottom metal on intermediate length (Mexicans etc) 98 Mausers. - dan

And then I would assume that if I can find a hinged floorplate for intermediate length M98 action, I could use it on my Swede M96?

The ability to put either a hinged floor plate or a DM on a Swede would make them far more desirable. IMHO
