I have been having major FTF issues with my 10/22. I have 2 BC Steel Lips mags that I use. With a empty mag in place I can cycle the bolt until my arm hurts but as soon as I load one (or the other) up I start having FTF. After careful observation it appears the bolt is catching on the "next to go" shell as it's loading. It actually leaves a little groove in the bullet. I'm thinking maybe the mags are worn as I bought them used and have no idea on the round count through them. Same with the rifle. Unfortunately I don't have a factory mag to compare things with. Any thoughts? TC

I had that happen with a pair or hot lips mags i had, FTF like 3/5 times, i just went out and bought new mags :D steel lips though and no problem so far, i thought it was the lips but maybe its the follower? my mags lasted thousands on thousands of rounds though, when these ones screw up ill buy new ones again
