I have a possible trade in the works with a follow CGN'er. I own a Savage MK II BV .22 heavy barrel and my friend owns a Savage thumb hole .17 HMR. I would prefer to keep the standard stock. Can the barrel from his gun fit properly into my stock and vice versa. I believe that we would also need to exchange the plate that surrounds the magazine well but I am not too sure.
Anyone out there that has both guns and can confirm this or not.
