hey guys , all the description says is that it is a k31 rifle. I'm just wondering if it is the k31 carbine or the k31 long rifle. Looking at the pics it looks like the carbine but I just want to make sure. It wouldn't happen to be a k11 carbine or long rifle either would it?

thanks

The K31 is a "newer" and improved 1911 is all ways...shorter overall length, longer sight radius (I believe), more durable, cheaper to produce, better barrel.

The K31 is my favorite surplus rifle, bring it everywhere with me.

I had a moment of weakness and bought one of these and after reading your comments im very excited to get it. I've never used a straight pull bolt and am interested to see what the difference is. :)

The strippers are basically waxed cardboard... not really worth fussing over IMO. Neat to have but not exactly durable.

Instead, save your money to buy two. I have no idea why these guns are so fricking cheap but they're beautifully made. Give it another 5-10 years and these will be selling like garands are now :p

Yea I saw that, what an odd design for stripper clips eh. but Ive read online that if your gentle with them they can last quite long. either way I like having them anyways :D

The stripper clips are a very basic design, so simple...and I have yet to find mine not doing their job. The Swiss k31 is in my opinion complete genius. Everything about them just screams common sense and briliance at the same time. But, I'm weird. Love my K31's, thinking I might bug Ryan for a 1911 now as I do not yet have one of those.

LOL! come to think of it all stripper clips are a basic design I guess :p I find the Rubin strippers just guide so much better then any others out there. Mosins and 7.62X39 take some fidgeting with, the k31 just moves compressed tabs to side and glides like butter.
