Are the NEA Upper handguard optic mounts available anywhere?

Now that I finally am interested in mounting a red dot, and have one handy, I am no longer able to find these for sale anywhere! Even checked through the EE, and posted a WTB with no luck as of yet. Are these discontinued? Why would NEA drop their CZ stuff like that?

So if anyone knows of a place that has these, or better yet would sell me one for an ok price, I would be very happy. If they arent available new I would be glad to pay a good price for one.

Failing that, what other options are there for a secure forward mount? Seems all the other ones by BC Tactical, Zahal, etc are sold as a quad rail upper and lower set up and I am not terribly interested in that, much less the added price. The BC tactical Scout mount(that replaces the rear iron) is my backup option here, but I would love to be able to get something that allows me to retain the iron sights as backups.

Thanks for the help!

The only mount that allows co-witness use of irons at the same time as a red dot is the NEA upper. Even then you need to use a low mount micro red dot like the trs-25. I run that set up on one of my vz58's and it's my preferred way. The only other possible way is the side mount. That allows you to look under the mount at the irons. I don't know of any dealer that is selling the NEA handguards new. But I'm not 100% on that there could be somebody.
Unfortunately the market for vz58 parts took a nose dive after the cz858 prohibition BS. I do see lots of the NEA uppers on the EE for sale. But you really need to keep a close watch. They usually go quick. I just bought an ace stock with stormwerkz adapter for vz58 from a fellow member last week and he had a set of upper and lower NEA handguards for sale but they went fast.
The BC tactical ones are really nice quality but pricey and too high to use irons. The BC tactical scout mount is good but like you say you need to remove rear sight.
I'd suggest keeping a close eye on the EE and when you see a set buy em. The lower handguard is pretty good lightweight and adds a rail. Buy the complete set and if you don't like lower sell it

There will be more...I only sold out of them two weeks ago. Expect more in a month or two.

Huh, the email i just got from NEA said they werent producing any more, i guess you guys are getting the last of it?

They are just really back up with AR15 and AR15 parts orders. They aren't a regularly produced product any more...they only do them in batches and I took the entire last batch.
