Are the new non restrict Sterling receiver sets made by NEA? Does anyone know for sure if this is rebranded NEA , because NEA is listed as the manufacturer in the FRT

It's been covered ad nauseam. These are NEA licensed production, same way the Troy ones are. Basically NEA has become a intellectual property rights distributor since they separated from their machine shop which is now BCL.

Nea remains named the manufacturer in the FRT because it is their design which was licensed to these other manufacturers to forego the frt process.

OK thanks, sorry couldnt find where this info was before. Thanks for clarifying. So who makes the sterling then? Sterling is the company? I cant find any info on if these take DPMS pattern stuff or the NEA style

Nea pattern is dpms pattern.

The only 2 other patterns are armalite or rock river arms. Both of which are really hard to find parts to build or priced unreasonably that you wont build with their parts

I think OP is referring to how the Nea / BCL made receiver sets may use DPMS pattern receivers but the threads for the barrel nut where I believe a weird Crossover with ArmaLite thread pitch. This limited your options for handguard choice.

Op, I believe that Sterling is using the standard barrel nut thread however it is probably best to check with TSE.

What are these new Sterling receiver sets? Can someone point me in the right direction? Google is failing me.

Thanks,
Of note - the Innovation page on the BCL website returns a "Page not found error" which was funny.

Check out the shooting edge on social media and I'm sure you'll find some of the Sterling arms International receiver sets
