being it's an 80% frame, nothing can be swapped across from the standard 1911 platform, so I wonder what others may have found, or have done, besides grips, which are available.

The grip screws on the little Browning 1911-22 are not 80% scale.

IIRC, they are actually standard 1911 size.

Ive been really really really wanting to get one of these 1911-22's

they are awesome, MM! especially if you have smaller hands, like I do. I got the first model released, the 1911-22-A1, but would like to get one of the newer models with the upgraded sights.

I'd really like to get a compact with the longer barrel, just to see what that's like. ;)

this and my Ruger 22/45 Lite (Mk II) were toss up's for my favorite pistols. :D

Browning has a mail in rebate on right now until July 15th I think. Get $50 back for a pistol purchase.

I really like the looks and reviews of the Black Label (gray slide) model. Has the upgraded sights.

Not to much available, I have different sets of grips, the one cool thing I ended up finding was a full length guide rod someone had machined. I'll take some photos later

The black label with grey slide. I looked all over and was only able to find one store who had 2 in stock.

Ended up having the best price on them anyways. Talked the store into giving me an even better price
and free shipping.

Already have 5 spare mags ordered for it. :)

What do you use for ammo? Anything particular work better?

I shoot CCI plated ammo exclusively after too many issues with all the other stuff out there. CCI Velocitor and Stinger make for a nice bang, but I shoot a lot of Mini Mag mostly.

shooting plated makes for quick cleaning. easy to dissolve copper...not so much for lead build up :p

Thanks for the info. I'll give the CCI mini mags a try.

Just got the pistol in the mail this morning. Pretty cool little unit.
The upgraded sights are nice. Easy to see and I won't have to replace them.

Looking forward to getting it out to the range.
