Are there any 'new' milsurps on the horizon?

I wouldn't hold my breath. Most of what has been made for militaries in the past 60+ years is select fire, which automatically makes it a no-go. On top of that, a lot of countries don't surplus firearms anymore, they either melt 'em down or send them to friendly 2nd/3rd world countries as aid.

There will be odds and ends coming in. Police surplus is appearing - Beretta pistols, Israeli M1 carbines.
The load that Royal Tiger Imports is bringing into the US from Ethiopia may be one of the last big ones.

who knows, maybe when the Taliban are upgrading their new M4 rifles you can puck them up for cheap

Doubt it, think most of the "new" milsurps would be 12.X class anyways. Mainly will see Police Surplus.

Other than FR7/8 and converted Mausers, DCRA No4, And occasional French MAS. There really hasn't been any 308 milsurps.

Restricted guns are no fun

I'm jealous of them, imagine just walking into an armory and picking out your own personal kit.

yes but if you piss off the wrong people enough with your new gear, you will be having laser guided bombs for dinner

Seems I've struck a nerve, I'm only jealous about the weapons they have access too. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, and I hope they all get smoked.

I like being able to take my guns into the woods and do some target shooting, it's not that easy with a restricted rifle.

So you don't like the restrictions on restricted firearms. That is no fault of the firearms, the guns themselves are still plenty of fun.

MAS 308 have been modified by Century Arms, no mas 36, 36/51, LG38 who are in 308. FSA 49/56 by century arms are not fun… barrel and gaz pipe are shorty, is not very good.
There was approximately 250 original mas 49/56 in 308 nato but is very rare and expensive!

- Ukraine is done, Importers have been raiding the warehouses for the last 20 years!

- Arms Embargo on Russia, small lots came out of former Soviet republics (small quantities and poor condition).
