I know there's a steady resource of pistol bullets being made in canada AIM projectiles/can bdx... etc... but is there a buisness that also manufactures 223 bullets?, and possibly other rifle bullets as well.

or do we rely on import for our rifle bullets through the various buisnesses, suppliers?.

cheers...

There used to be a fellow in Alberta or Sask. operating under "Wildcat Bullets." I see that the business has been sold and the website is under construction. They say they'll be up and running again this summer. Anyone know about them?

The 22cal bullet, especially the FMJ's are one of the most agressively priced bullets in the market place. Thus, suffering from one of the lowest margins.

It would be pretty hard for any new company to want to jump into this end of the pool when competing against the big boys.

Unless oil drives freight into the stratosphere, we are going to keep seeing imports for the FMJ's.

At present, I am offering ARMSCOR 62gr FMJ's at the lowest price of ANY FMJ in Canada ( as far as I can find pricing). A decent very well made bullet that is shooting just fine for a bunch of CGN members.

Might be something to consider if you want a FMJ for blasting...

how much are we talking about per 1000, or per 100 $?. and some more info on these bullets... are they boat tailed? crimp grooved?.

ARMSCOR is a large military contractor out of the Phillipines. Have been making NATO stuff for decades. They also made quite alot of 1911 frames/slides. Not sure what else they produce but they definitely make ALOT of ammo.

The bullet is a NATO spec FMJBT w/ cann. Lead core only!

The Quality of manf looks on par with everything else on the NA market. maybe not as shiny as a Hornady but.....

I can sell them per 100 but it will be more then by the 1000. I am not allowed to show pricing on a general forum so you can either send me a PM or go here.

I will have some extra on my shipment arriving shortly but interest is there so please let me know ASAP.

Thanks,

Jerry

Wildcat bullets in the 53gr. mode are the most accurate bullets I've ever shot, at least in the '50' gr. weights. Goes by 'bulletsmith' here, but the business is changing hands now as Richard is busy with other things. Hopefully the new folks can keep the quality that Richard had. There are some other guys making their own bullets but not many offer them for sale to the public. Mark
