Are there civilian owned non-8L FN C1A1s

I've seen plenty of OPP marked C1s on the civilian market, and even a couple of non-OPP marked ones. All were in the 1968 production 8L series of rifles. Are there any earlier production civilian owned C1s?

Also, where did the EX rifles that are in civilian hands come from? Were they released from the military, or were they sold when CAL/Longbranch closed down?

I've seen a civilian owned C1...not an A1. I don't recall if it was an EX model or not....

In damn pristine condition too.
