Are there ever any black friday deals on barrels?

Do any dealers have deals around black friday? Or is this one of these situations where they already have trouble keeping things in stock?


I picked up a Pristine action so I have an eye out for a small shank Savage pre-fit barrel in 223.

Not that I have seen yet but it’s still pretty early. I’m keeping an eye out myself. I have a feeling IBI will do something. I’ve got my eyes out as well.

Are you looking for a steel or carbon ?

I picked up a used .223 barrel (under 500 rounds) not long ago on here for a good deal and cannot wait to get it swapped with my .308 barrel.

Nice. I've been keeping an eye on the EE as well, but the exact thing you need tends to be rare.

Carbon or steel is kind of a toss up. A light weight 223 would be neat but it will mostly be for target shooting so weight is probably a good thing. I already have a 6.5cm chonker though.

BF is the 29th, over a week away. Reliable has some Already - so does Tenda and BP/Cab. Those are the only ones I get emails from due to best pricing. Sure there are others - are you on any 'emailing lists' ? Have you gone onto the Sponsors websites to look ? or just want stuff handed to you ?

lol, imagine the audacity of using this forum to ask others if they know more than you.

I'm looking for historical trends to temper my expectations.

The main question was whether to expect to see any discounts at all. The IBI website, for example, uses the phrase "due to overwhelming order volumes". It's not obvious that a business would offer a discount on their product if they already have a long production backlog.

Just came back to this thread to say the same thing. I am just waiting to see what other sales come before I ask what he has in stock. (Those are the ones on sale.)

I was going to email and ask for the whole list when I ask about triggers in stock for lefties but I’m not sure he wants to just give out the list instead of asking for a specific barrel/contour if it’s in stock.

I picked up an IBI barrel two years ago on Black Friday, they had a sale on spiral fluted pre-fits at the time. I think last year it was just on certain blanks
 
I emailed Big Horn.

He has “200+ in stock and hundred more on the way” contours from #1 to straight 1.350.

These are only for blanks though so might wanna wait and see if someone else does prefers ? (That said I have a .338 benchmark blank that came from Big horn chambered in 338 RCM and it’s amazing so I always have my eye out for benchmarks!)
 
Update: another user prompted me to check out ibi again. They have some nice sales on right now on pre-fits. Carbon as well as some factory seconds.

Nabbed one of each. Fingers crossed they shoot well.
