I picked up some Remington 9mm brass from the range and I'm just wondering if these are reloads.

They have a silver primer. I couldn't remember if Remington had silver or brass colour primers.

Looks like a reloaded round to me. I have yet to see a brass Remington 9mm factory round with silver primer. IMHO (Mind you I might be wrong).

Most factory rounds I've seen have brass-coloured primers. The only brass-coloured primers available to the reloader are Winchesters. CCI, Federal and Remington are silver.

Winchester .45 185gr NT use small silver primers also.

I think the companies mix-em up, but keep records. This way they can sort out if an ammunition manufacturer or 're-manufacturer' is cheating and selling the OEM stuff on the side.

I know Hornady went after a couple of USA companies for this problem, as it turns out the companies in question had been duped by a fake 06-FFL holder and the companies were not held responsible - thus I won't publicly name them.

In .45ACP, Winchester USA have brass colored primers (regular large primed stuff, not the NT ones), and Remington UMC had silver primers.

Showing pretty severe cratering, looks like hot (hand) loads (or firing pin issues in the gun)

It looks like every other primer I've ever seen fired from a Beretta 92 in the last 20 years.
