Hi,
Are these Weaver style rings? What do I need to install a Burris Fullfield 3-9x40mm to the rifle. Scope now fitted is a Weaver K6-1 and I believe the old rings will work but I want to change then to matte black to match new scope. Rifle is a Winchester model 70.

Yes, it says Weaver on the side.

My preference is not these strap style mounts, but clamp style because supposedly the tube isn't being rolled when screwed down.

Are there any drawings showing heights of different rings to determine what height I require? I assume these are "low" now fitted; Are they??? I'm replacing a Weaver K6-1 38mm with a Burris Fullfield E1 3x-9x 40mm so is "Low" should be what I want for the new scope as well?

The front glass is measured in mm, so your existing Weaver is 38mm and the Burris is 40mm. The difference is 1mm in radius. From the photos, I don't see much reason to worry. Unless the bell is much larger closer to the receiver ring, because of the barrel contour, you should be OK.

You seem to be forgetting bell outside diameter. If you go by only objective lense you'll be about 3mm too short, perfect example is my scope 56mm objective, 62mm od. If I had gone with objective only I would have bought the wrong spuhr mount 30mm vs 38mm. That would have been a 520 dollar mistake.

Lets not try to measure the man's rifle in Alberta with a magnifying glass held in New Brunswick. From the pictures, the smaller bell is still clear of the barrel contour. An extra millimeter diameter, assuming the two scopes are similar, won't touch the barrel.
