So I found a bayonet at an antique store but I couldn't tell if it was for a model 38 or 99, then I wasn't sure if there was any difference? Could some clarify? Also what is the average arisaka bayo worth in decent conditions?
They are the same model of Bayo for both the 99 and the 38. As for price, most places seem to sell them for $150 or so. Repros can be had for $50 or less.
The bayonet is the Type 30. Fits Type 30,35,38 & 99 rifles. Likewise the Types 96 & 99 LMGs. Variations in manufacture during it's service but all are interchangeable.
