Just picked up a short T.99. What length cleaning rod do I buy and where can I buy one? A repro. is fine. As well, similar question about the sling. Just want to bring it back to original looking quality for my WWII collction.

cleaning rods you can find on ebay or slings for that matter but real ones are going to be very expensive. there are different types as well. check out some of the Japanese weapons forums to find out what would be the correct type.
 
I have bought slings from Mike Welser in the US and his slings are top quality, hand made. I have bought and used five of his slings on my Mausers that you cannot find slings for anymore and they work the part and look it too.

He also happens to make Arisaka T38 and T99 slings as well. You can either go through ebay or contact him directly.
