Hello gentlemen.
Really thinking about letting some of my stuff go as I need both space and funds. This one is single Japanese girl in my collection so might be she has go... Just need to understand if it's worth of selling.
As I found with help of GB community, she is Type 38 Infantry Rifle bartered to Thailand in 1940. It is from the Nagoya and went straight from the factory to Thailand along with 24,999 others.
Many of the rifles were later shortened to a short rifle configuration and re-chambered in .30 cal U.S. But this one survived. These are very hard to find in original condition as few reached the U.S. since they had a military weapons ban on at the time they were surplused by Thailand.
Rifle missing cleaning rod and rear swivel, also seems that stock was sprayed with some brownish paint that could easily go. So no major bubba-damage. Mechanically sound, bolt cycles just fine, bore rifling is very strong. Still has bolt cover. Bolt and cover do not match rifle serial. Mum is not ground but cancelled with circles. I never shot her, but considering overall very good condition it should be fun to shoot.
So what would be market value of her?

Thank you in advance.
Oleg.
