The glass is ok..The turrents suck though,my biggest turn off was that joke of a zero stop.
I had one for a week.
It did track true.
But for $700 cant expect much more.
They seem to be a decent entry-level scope for those wanting to try their hand at the long-range precision game. The 5-25x 56mm EP5 will get you out to 1000m easily enough with its ED glass. Not sure what the other poster was on about, but I find that the Arken Turrets are one of their best features with very precise, tactile "clicks" and accurate tracking. All things considered, the Arken scopes seem to punch well above their price-point in terms of basic performance. With optics you typically get what you paid for. However, in the case of the Arken brand, it seems that you get just a little bit more....
Here's my Arken EP5 Gen2, 7-35x 56mm mounted on my Colt USA LE-901:
Arken makes a decent scope packed with a ton of features you won't get in similar priced scopes. That said the biggest difference you are going to see between an Arken and higher end scopes is the glass. At longer distances you will see the difference. That said for a budget PRS style scope you can't go wrong.
Eye box is tight.
They're heavy.
Illumination is okay for the price but could use improvement.
The rest seems like great bang for your buck.
No issues with the turrets on mine, glass is better than my eyes so take that for what's it's worth (I don't see a difference between it and my PST II that was twice the price).
No idea how durable they would be as I only use it on a bench but if it was fragile I think you'd see an online trash fest over it by now if it wasn't decent.
I have two EP5’s. I agree that the difference between the Arken and the PSTII is minimal. I’ve had zero issues with the zero stop on the EP5 and the eye box is easy. For the price, really nice optic.
Mine is great. Forget the "entry level" comments. Buy one and expect good glass and repeatable tracking. It's heavy, it's a target optic. Only gripe about mine is the illumination which is off 99.9% of the time.
