Arma coat

When applying this. Do I have to remove the blueing first? I have a rifle I just picked up. Most of the barrel has been stripped of the original blueing. Should I remove the rest of it? Or can I just apply Armacoat right over top of it? One more thing. Once the Armacoat has been sprayed on. Do I need to apply anything else on top of it? Thanks.

I did a revolver in Armacoat. You need to remove all the bluing then you are supposed to blast it with Aluminum Oxide so the coating has something to adhere to. You can spray a second coat of colour or you can spray Armacoat clear to ad some extra protection. Something else I would recommend is to use a small gravity feed gun to apply the coatings, this gives you great control and uses up less product. If you go to there web site it tells you all the prep work you should do.
