Armacoat spray kits?

I like the armacoat, but as with most finishes, the best results are from the quality of the prep work.

My situation is that the only cerekote applicator in my region that know of is not doing it right now due to illness.I don't have an oven big enough to bake the finish on a full barrel and action so this is why I have been looking at the armacoat spray kit. If prepped well,is the finish durable?

Cannot say if as good as ceracoat, but one cured on shelf for 2 weeks, its quite tough
But cannot be harder to scratch than material under.
Aluminium stays aluminium no mater what is on it

Make sure to use proper respirator
I am not planning to use something else for now

Armacoat is a good product. I recently coated a couple 870's and an sks. While the finish has scuffed a little on the mag tube where the pump slides, it is holding up very well. I will use the product again. As far as the sprayer kits I don't know. If you are set up to do the sandblasting required for prep, just go get a couple cheap dissectant air filters and a $40 HPLV spray gun.

Unfortunately my place looks like a bomb hit it atm or I'd link a pic to my set up.

Easiest way to do it is @ like this. Go to a second hand store or CanTire. Get a single or double burner hot plate : http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/salton-single-burner-portable-range-0431200p.html#.VAhyCaOCXTo

then get a hunk of stove pipe: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/i...ove-pipe-6-x-24-in-0642890p.html#.VAhyZKOCXTo

Technically at that point your finished.

If you want best results drill 4 holes every 8-12 inches for a kitchen/meat thermometer. They're accurate enough to keep you from overheating the paint/gun. A piece of angle pipe to vent out a window is handy. Drill 2 holes at the top and put in 2 pieces of coat hanger to hang the parts from. You can get alot fancier than this but this set up works very nicely.

The two most important parts to a successful job are prep and planning. Know in advance how your going to hold, move, place and hang every part. Then have lots of light and a clean work space and you're good to go.
