Armalite 180b to 308

Um....no.

How would you feed 308 rounds into the smaller 5.56 magwel?

The reverse is usually possible, for instance, a 308 lower taking a conversion kit for 5.56; there are conversion kits for the AR15 to .22 with a .22 chambered upper receiver and a modified magazine, but to the best of my knowledge you can't go the other way.

Definately not a commercially available option right now.

You could design one, but the magwell on the lower would still be .223 sized, and the .308 round is too long.

So no, don't think it's possible.

Was thinking about this same thing the other night. Too bad Armalite hasn't come up with an AR10 B. My money on that for sure instead of a DPMS LR 308

There is an AR10B.

Lucey, I'm home 'splain pleeze.

Bryce, does Armalite make a lower similar to the AR180B that will accept a 308 upper and stay non-restricted? No? That was my question. Go do the fat thing:dancingbanana:

The AR18 is the sheet metal build counterpart to the AR15.

The AR16 was the sheet metal build counterpart to the AR10.

So yes, there is a .308 version, how ever, it never progressed past prototype stage.
