Armalite identification

Hey, i have an armalite, i was wondering if with the serial number you can tell which model it is. I would like to advertise it as a NM rifle, but model on receiver simply says



I think NM rifles have .223wylde writen on receiver?
It does have the 20'' HBAR full stainless steel barrel, 1:9 twist, factory 2 stage match trigger
Any other indications? Still got the factory paperwork and on warranty paper, only says M15 with serial number next to it

Pull the hand guard and look at what is punched on the barrel. My Armalites are maked 5.56 but I know one is a .223Wylde barrel.

I have just removed the handguard for the first time on this particular one, and something is different from others ones i have seen in the past. Instead of having a heat shield strapped to the handguards, they are plain plastic with nothing else on them. But i seem to have this tube over my barrel. So i cannot see the markings.

For the sake of curiosisty, did they ever stamp NM on their receivers or did i dream this up?

It is likely that is an Armalite NM top end placed on a regular M15 lower - the differences in the NM lower will only be in the trigger installed - if it is the Armalite two stage that is breaking at 4.5-5 lbs, it is the NM.
