Armalite One Piece scope mount problems :(


I have (had actually) one of these mounts on my AR-180B-2 and I cannot get my scope to zero properly. The scope (Bushnell Legend 5-15x40mm AO) is at the end of the windage (left) adjustment and the elevation (high adjustment. I have removed/reset the scope 3 times without any change.

The scope works fine with the StormWerkz mount and Leupold PRW rings and also on my T3 .223 without any problems :)


Does the Armalite scopemount need to be reamed? return it? add 4 pounds of shimming to the scope tube? I can use the StorwWerkz mount but would prefer the one piece Armalite, if it worked.:mad:

Heres the low down on this problem as when these rifles first came out I went
crazy too! #1--throw armalite mount in the scrap.#2--carefully grind mount
base pad off receiver.#3-- purchase a long piece of weaver or piccatiny mount rail long enough to go from the rear sight to the front of thr receiver at
the hand guard.#4--carefully align,drill,tap,and epoxy rail down.#5--carefully
grind excess mount screw length off flush with inside of receiver so bolt does
not contact.#6--mask off and paint top of receiver or touch up with auto flat
black paint to match finish.#7--now enjoy mounting what ever scope and mounts you wish to use! Thanks--Dieseldog!:sniper:
