Hey guys.. Can someone show a noob (me) the main differences between the Armalite M15 and the Stag arms model 2L besides the price.

Wolverine is selling a M15 with a stage 2 trigger.

Just trying to make some final decisions before I order one! ;)

Thanks guys!

basically the guns are the same, stag arms is I believe more "mil-spec" then armalite but for a canadian I think it all comes down to what you like better as far as name....

the 2 stage trigger is a big bonus as it will cut your trigger pull down a little... but most users of the AR15 are happy with the stock trigger when using the rifle as a black rifle is intended to be used, if you plan on building a precision rifle out of it then by all means go ahead and get a 2 stage rifle.

Service wise you have picked the two top dealers of ar15's in canada, both stand behind their product and both have an exceptional record of going above and beyond when it comes to helping customers and honouring any warrenty issues.

Looking at online prices as posted by each dealer

Stag 2R - $1385
Armalite M15A4CB - $1195
Stag 2L - $1425 (LEFT HAND EJECT)

Now looking at the prices you would assume the armalite is cheaper, BUT the stag 2R/2L comes with an Arms 40L BUIS which brings the prices closer.... stag also comes with a hard case and a few other do dad's in thier as well ( I believe even a shirt... ?), also there is no mention of 2 stage trigger for that model I listed. Stag Arms will drop a 2 stage giselle trigger in for you if you want for additional $$ and gisselle is considered top notch.

If you want a left handed rifle then you haveno other option but a STAG, and frankly either way right or left I would buy a stagarms from armseast anyday as the service is great. (not saying service from john is not as great, I just love the deer ;) )

Westicle said it all...

I have the two brands and both are excellent. The differences I noticed are:

Stag: smoother trigger pull
Stag: darker finish
Stag: upper is tight on the lower
Armalite: upper wobbles a bit on the lower

But I love 'em both.

Armalite have the lifetime warranty!

Regarding mine (Armalite), there is no wobbles between the upper and the lower. Both are tight togetter and I have put about 3K rounds without a failure so far.

Stagarms also has Lifetime Warrenty when purchased as a complete rifle, every AR is different from gun to gun re: upper/lower fit, I have had some colts that NEEDED an accuwedge just so they didn't jiggle.

both stag and current armalites will be tight, my latest build which is a stag upper on my lower is tight, and it looks good.

either way you choose you will be well served by both dealers in canada

Just remember, everytime you say 'I have an Armalite' people will know what you mean and think you are cool.

If you said 'I have a stag', someone will ask you how much a ticket costs or think you just ate a bowl of chilli.

Your choice.

That sounds unusual. When I ordered from him he responded to my email with a phone call less than a half hour after I sent it and it was something like 8:30 PM his time. Maybe give him a call just in case he's away or having email problems?

I am a huge Walter fan, have been since day 1 of AEI, lots of deals both professionally and personally. He is a one man band and sometimes it is difficult to get hold of him, it can get frustrating in this instant gratification world we live in. I have gone through a lot...read dozens and dozens of ARs and being a Colt guy I have to say the Stags are the nicest ARs of all the none Colts out there. Some things are worth waiting for. Like my FRACKING awesome 10.3" Stag ARMS G1 Shorty.:dancingbanana: Soon to be sporting a KAC Rail, Aimpoint Micro and KAC QD FH and LMT stock...:D
