Looks like JP has some competition with regards to captured spring buffers and at a cheaper cost too.

So who's gonna bring these in? :)

Hello,

Please excuse the ignorance, I'm not new to most stuff firearms but I am fairly new to AR type rifles and I'm building my own first one and don't have a buffer/tube yet. I would like to know the advantage to a system like this over the old style. Is it better cycling rate or more reliable, etc?

I would rather hear from people that use them or want them than read advertising.

Would be going into a 7.5" .300 with a Mission First Tactical Minimalist stock. I want my first one to be the silliest one in the gun rack, I have lots of practical guns.

I have not read into the product, but if it copied the JP system, then the spring and weight can be swap out via extra/ spare spring set and weighted rings.

The main benefits are a smoother recoil impulse and quieter operation.

I would still say the JP is the best built system. Plus if you get the JP kit with the different springs you can really fine tune it however I've never found it necessary.

I have no experience with the Armaspec SRS but I can say that the Shooting Innovations RRS I have works well.

Got the JP captured spring in my Noveske 14'' since... 3 years now and I love it. Silky smooth, silent and it keeps the muzzle flat.
