Anyone dealt with Armco? I sent Gunnar a piece to have reblued in May and was told 3 weeks it would be done. Almost two months go by without a word back from him. I finally contacted Clarence at Bumblebee and said he delivered the part to Gunnar that day. Days turn into weeks again before I hear back from him finally without any kind of concern on his part. It is now the middle of August and still no part. I'm almost at the point of calling the RCMP. Anyone have any similar instances or suggestions?

CGN is littered with many, many epic threads debating Armco's legendary customer service. Ot lack thereof... All ended in being locked down and/or deleted as they spiralled helplessly out of control.

But the bottom line is that you are not alone in having trouble getting straight answers out of Armco. Best of luck getting your gun back. The one positive thing is that everyone does seem to eventually get their gun back from Armco. Not always fixed, as was my case.

Oh yeah, IBTL!

It's a shame, he gets some real awesome stuff in, but I refuse to step foot in the door of his shop. It is the one and only booth from my local gun show I wouldn't even look at. Even if he had something I REALLY wanted at an awesome price I would rather not support him.

Gunnar is/was a great 'smith, but customer service he needs help with. He mentored Clarence who has now set up his own shop at Bumblebee Custom Machine. Hope that works out.

In Gunnar's defence he did just move plus while his wife was under the knife for some routine work, she suffered a stroke. As a result his focus was on her.

I'd suggest being persistent with both email and phone. I am local so if you really need, I can make a personal visit. Hit me with a PM.

Best of luck,
Dave

That is a really nice thing to offer. This is in part why I love this site. I believe in Karma.

I've been following these Armco threads for years just for the entertainment value. Seems he's always moving or on vacation or sick or pixies made off with the gun parts, etc., etc. Definitely not worth the grief.

I must give kudos to Dave&Dar a member here. He went out of his way and went to Gunnar's shop and got my part for me and shipped it himself. Now this is how a community should function. Thanks Dave!
