Howdy:
I am in the process of acquiring (from a dealer in the U.S.) a Taylor's & Co reproduction .56-50 Model 1865 Spencer Carbine (as produced by Armi Sport.)
Any fellow Canucks have one of these yet?
(There is a definite Canadian historical connection, by the way. With the "Fenian Threat" of 1866, Canada bought 1300 such carbines, and the British War Dept. supplied another 1000 Spencer carbines and 2000 Spencer infantry rifles. Mind you, these modern reproductions are chambered for "modern" .56-50 centerfire cartridges, rather than the original rimfire round.)
