FWIW, Marstar has a bunch of them inbound too. In fact, being they are the Armi Sport distributorship, Jenings is probably getting theirs from Marstar.

HI
Jennings is in B.C..I talked to them last night and they said they were going to order from Armi Sport themselves and the price would be in the $12 to $1400 range.I talked to MARSTAR last nov about them and they said that they were supposed to get them in Dec and I haven t heard back from them yet.

LOL - I doubt Armi Sport will sell to them without going through their distributor, but if they do - good luck to them & I wish them the best!

As for Marstar, they need a big enough order to get stuff in from Armi Sport and sell at reasonable prices after all the costs of importation. Once they have a large enough order from AS, their stuff will come in.

In the meantime, you could import one from the US is you need it that bad. talk to GrantR - he just did it.

Well ... I have bought and paid for one (.56-50 carbine) out of the US ... and it was shipped (together with loading dies, a mould and brass) over a month ago, but nothing has arrived yet .... :(

I have no concerns about the vendor, whom I know personally ... but I've just had him institute an enquiry through the USPS, since it certainly seems it should have been here by now!

Mind you, it is probably in the clutches of Canada Post and/or Canada Customs ....

The good part (if I get it, that is ... ) was the price ... the main US distributor (Taylor's & Co.) had a "dealer special" back in the fall, so my price ended up being only US$817 - and the Canadian dollar was even stronger back when I paid for it ...

I'll be surprised if the end retail price up here doesn't end up being at least Can$1400 - the going rate down there is normally at least US$1000-1200 ....

....

I bet the reason is that being a new issue of gun, it is not on the FRT disc yet and that crashes everything. I have had at least 2 guns that were only processed after I fussed about them several times and in both cases it was because they were not on the disc.

cheers mooncoon

Grant I can tell you about where your Spencer is, it is in customs jail.I have heard stories lately that even though all the paperwork was doen with all the i's dotted and t's crossed that they hold on to the guns for a while. There is a guy on here who imported a Shiloh Sharps and that was what happened to him and he thought his gun was basically a goner to the point he was going to buy a Shiloh I had for sale.I think they held his gun for the better part of the year and it took a few calls from the exporter in the States to get it realeased.I don t know if it was our customs or the States customs that had it locked up.I too was going to order one from the same guy you did but after hearing that decided to wait and see if someone would bring them in here.
