ARMS #18, does it block the irons without scope/rings?

With the ARMS #18 on my M14 I can use the open sights without any problem. I can just vaguly see the base of the sight in my peripheral vision in the bottom of the rear sight.

Now, the trick is mounting your scope with the right rings/scope combo so that you can see down your sights even with everything mounted.

I actually like the lower profile of the ARMS, but if I had a low ring setup the Smith would do just fine.

I prefer the ARMS for sleekness and lowness, but the Smith WILL fit better on those off dimension receivers
AKA Springfield Armoury M1A.

Of course, no on here on CANGUNNUTTY Pipples would be so foolish as to buy an overpriced SA, when they could have a cheaper, better receiver from the Commies.
Right?

This guy sells the Smith mounts, and many other m14 toys as well.
