Hey guys,

I just picked up an ARMS #38 Swan Sleeve for my M4gery. It's the riser rail with the built in ARMS #40 on the back.

I was under the impression that it would act as a bit of a riser, so I could still use irons with the Holosight, but it would be in the bottom part of the screen.

Well, it turns out that when I mount my Holosight and try to use the irons, the holosight is now WAY too high, and I can't even see the front post when using the rear BUIS!

So my question is this. I guess I figured out that an EOTech/Holosight won't really work here, but would an Aimpoint in a low mount still be able to use irons in this setup?

I'm a little bummed, as I thought this would be the best setup for the Holosight, but it ain't.

If anyone knows whether a low mounted Aimpoint would work in this setup, please let me know!

An aimpoint with a low profile mount on the #38 will give you the proper height to co-witness with the iron sight.

If you want to keep your Eotech, just get the #40 BUIS

The best riser mount for the EOTech is the LaRue Tactical EOTech mount.
$119 US if you can find somebody who'll ship one to you.
The next best is the YHM mount which (IIRC) was about half the price, and works just fine for us civvies. ;)
