Hi,

Anybody know how well the ARMS#63 mount returns a scope to zero after re-attachment and how solid it is ? I'm currently using an ARMS#5 to mount a scope on my AR. I switch between the scope and an EoTech, and it would be nice to have the throwlevers instead of the thumbscrews. Want to outfit the EoTech with a GG&G AccuCam so the changeover won't require any tools or coins at all.

Thanks

i've been using a #54 with a holosight and there very little movement of impact point.

I have an Eotech with the GG & G Accucam & it works fine as long as you mount it on & off the same rifle. I found I have to reset the cam travel it if i'm going to change rifles (even tho the bases all claim to be Picatinny, ie a Beretta Storm, a Ruger M77, a custom Base on an 870, etc. If you have to reset each time in addition to using ther lever then I suspect you will get some loss of zero. Also the G&G setting on the cam is not that flexible since you go by 1/2 turns- so the lever closing choice may be either extremely tight or just this side of loose. The problem may not exist with a true milspec picatinney base, i don't know. but in my view the ARMS system is more flexible.

FWIW.
