It seems that with the 6.8 ammo situation in Canada, demand for these rifles is non-existant. If anyone IS looking for a 6.8SPC, the 5R/5L does exist and I'd be happy to bring one in.

Remington markets 6.8SPC in the US, Hornady too IIRC. I think the question is would they or anyone else pay to have it NRCAN approved for sale in Canada, and then put into their distribution system for a handful of potential customers.

If the ammo was available I'd probably pick one up, but I'm not holding my breath waiting. ;(

Maybe just bring in the brass and bullets? At least then you could sell to reloaders.

Get me a package deal for a 5R, dies, and a 5 gallon pail full of new brass and I'll feel a strong tugging on my rubber arm. I have no intention of ever buying centerfire ammo again!

However I would personally prefer an M4 style rifle in 6.8 over a 20" but all of my ARs are shortys or mids, so a little variety never hurts.

Hi Kyle, the 5R has a 16" barrel.

As for the brass and dies, with enough $, anything is possible.
