Today I picked up my Armscore/Derya TM22 Featherlite from my local post office. Shipping from a Canadian Site IRG was very quick. This model resembles the M4 carbine but the barrel is a bit longer at 18.5". The entire furniture is synthetic/polymer but, surprisingly, feels very solid. The polymer stock is fully adjustable to 15" length and also for height.
The rifle came with 2 polymer 10-rd magazines, a set of keys and a manual. The rifle does not feel like a "featherlite". The manual lists 5lbs weight unloaded. My "featherlite" Citadel Trakr 22LR semi-auto weighs 3.6lbs by comparison. By the way the user manual that came in a package, is very good. It has very clear, self-explanatory pictures. The M4-ish carrying handle (thick polymer) is removable by unscrewing a front screw and nut. At the rear end, the carrying handle has installed metal rear peep sight (two apertures) which is fully adjustable for windage&elevation. In addition, the post front sight is adjustable for elevation. The peep sight systems is very clear for aiming. I like it. The front sight is easily removable by unscrewing two screws/nuts. But removing it is not really necessary for installation of any optics. The latter can be installed by removing the handle/rear sight from the top cover which has an integral Picattiny rail. It is enough to install a bit higher rings (e.g. 1.5) and the scope/red dot will not be obscured by the front sight. After removing the top cover/Picattiny rail, the entire bolt assembly can be pulled out easily for cleaning. If someone would like to completely disassemble the rifle it can be done with a wrench that comes together with a rifle but this is unnecessary for a simple cleaning.
I'm pretty impressed with a thoughtful design of this rifle. It is quite impressive. For the price of C$337.20 I paid to my door this is a super-deal. Thanks IRG! Bring more deals like that to your Canadian Store. Unfortunately, the TM22 Feather are now sold out from the Canadian IRG site.
Next is a shooting range. Perhaps, next week there will be nice day for shooting 22LR.
P.S. (3/3/2024) Just measured the trigger pull weight with my Lyman Trigger Pull Gauge. The average of 10 measurements is 2.15+-0.11 lbs! Amazing trigger pull weight which is closer to a quality target rifle than to a cheap plinker!
